Privacy Policy

Syle lets you create a listing once and publish it to eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark, Karrot, and Kijiji. This policy explains what information we collect, why we need it, and what choices you have. It applies to the Syle web app, Chrome extension, and website.

We only collect information needed to run Syle. We do not sell your personal information, and you can delete your account at any time.

Information we collect

• Account information: This includes your name, email address, and optional profile photo. We receive your name and email when you sign up directly or use Google or Facebook to sign in. Our authentication provider handles passwords and never stores them as plain text.
• Marketplace account details: When you connect eBay, we store the access tokens provided by eBay and your eBay username. The tokens are encrypted while stored. For marketplaces managed through the extension, we save the account identifier associated with each published listing. This helps Syle warn you if a different account is signed in. We never receive or store your marketplace passwords.
• Listing content: We store the titles, descriptions, prices, item details, and photos you add to a listing.
• Activity and technical information: We keep a record of publishing, updating, delisting, and marking an item as sold. These records let us show results and handle failed actions. Our server logs may also include your IP address. We use those logs to keep Syle secure, troubleshoot problems, and monitor how the service is performing.

Chrome extension

When you ask Syle to publish or manage a listing, the extension uses your signed-in marketplace session to complete the action. It handles your listing text and photos, checks which marketplace account is signed in to prevent actions on the wrong account, and sends the result back to Syle.

The extension is limited to Facebook Marketplace, Karrot, Poshmark, and Kijiji. It does not collect your browsing history or access data from unrelated websites.

How we use your information

We use your information to sign you in, save your listings, carry out the marketplace actions you request, provide support, and keep Syle secure.

We share information only with companies that help us operate Syle, such as our cloud hosting, database, authentication, and email providers. We may also disclose information if the law requires us to. We do not sell your personal information. Connections to Syle are encrypted, and marketplace access tokens are encrypted while stored.

Listing photos are stored at public URLs. Anyone who has the exact URL can view the photo. Since these images are intended for public marketplace listings, please do not upload anything you want to keep private.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information while your account is active. Deleting a listing removes the listing and its images. Deleting your account removes your account, listings, images, and marketplace connections.

Deleting a photo, a listing, or your account removes the copy Syle holds. It does not remove copies held by a marketplace where you already published the listing, since each platform stores its own copy of your information. Removing those means deleting the information on that marketplace, and each marketplace applies its own retention rules.

Deleted information may remain in routine backups for a limited time until those backups expire. To prevent a backup restore from bringing deleted information back, we keep a small deletion record in a separate, protected ledger. It contains only the account and marketplace identifiers needed to repeat the deletion, not your listing content. The record is removed after the relevant backups have expired.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account from Settings in the Syle app. Choose Delete account and follow the confirmation steps.

If you cannot sign in, email contact.syleapp@gmail.com from the email address registered to your account. We will verify the request before deleting anything.

We also receive account closure notifications from eBay. If you close your eBay account, we delete the eBay account data we hold even if you do not contact us directly.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Contact contact.syleapp@gmail.com, and we will respond within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as Canada’s PIPEDA or the European Union’s GDPR. You may also have the right to contact your local privacy regulator.

Children

Syle is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Syle changes. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will also let you know in the app or by email.
